Baja Presbyterian Missions’ 47-Year Track Record
Since 1964, San Diego-based Baja Presbyterian Missions has promoted Christ’s message of hope by helping the Mexican Baja presbytery start new and assist financially troubled churches belonging to the Mexican National Presbyterian Church. We fund Baja church-planting and evangelism, purchase real estate for Baja church development, fund Baja church construction, organize and lead volunteer work parties, and subsidize Baja pastoral salaries until churches become self-sufficient.
When Baja Presbyterian Missions began work 47 years ago, there were no Spanish-language Presbyterian churches in Baja California. Today, an ambitious Baja presbytery oversees 19 thriving Presbyterian missions and churches from Tijuana to San José del Cabo, and a Presbyterian seminary in Mexicali prepares and sends graduates to lead new missions. Six more missions are due to join the Baja presbytery in 2012.
Increasingly, Southern California Presbyterian churches are generously responding to the needs of Mexican Presbyterian pioneers striving to achieve their faithful vision. We invite you and your congregation to join our partnership and share the warm and friendly fellowship of Mexican Presbyterian families south of the border.
