Our #1 Gift Program: Navidad Para Los Niños

Navidad Para Los Niños ( Christmas for Children ) has been a twenty-year favorite among parents who want to nurture mission-giving in their own tots! Here’s how it works. Visitors to our mission table choose the age and gender of a niño—infants through age 15—labeled on dozens of colorful tags. They take the name tag home and then Christmas shop for the child, wrap their gift as they wish, label it with our pre-printed name tag, and return it to your church by Sunday, December 18.

Baja Presbyterian Missions arranges Christmas gift pick-up and delivery to more than 300 young believers across the border who will share the sense of connection to the loving family of Christ that extends far beyond their own neighborhood . . . and culture.

Our Newest Gift Program: Pesos Para Pisos

At the Baja Presbyterian Missions table, $10 covers a lot of ground. Pesos Para Pisos ( Dollars for Floors ) is our fresh, new win-win opportunity for 2011. The more mission-fair shoppers give, the more they receive! For every $10 that shoppers give, they take home a genuine, handmade two-inch by two-inch Mexican Talavera ceramic tile for a special someone on their Christmas list. Each handsome, raised-finish ceramic is a charming and authentic commemoration of a shopper's generous contribution to Baja church-raising . . . and floor paving. But that's not all—the exchange includes a gift box, ribbon, and a mini-leaflet, too!

Pesos Para Pisos tiles are the perfect ready-to-go symbolic gift to offer friends and loved ones in whose honor Christmas shoppers make mission donations. We think they're destined to become annual collector's items!

Baja Presbyterian Missions’ 47-Year Track Record

Since 1964, San Diego-based Baja Presbyterian Missions has promoted Christ’s message of hope by helping the Mexican Baja presbytery start new and assist financially troubled churches belonging to the Mexican National Presbyterian Church. We fund Baja church-planting and evangelism, purchase real estate for Baja church development, fund Baja church construction, organize and lead volunteer work parties, and subsidize Baja pastoral salaries until churches become self-sufficient.

When Baja Presbyterian Missions began work 47 years ago, there were no Spanish-language Presbyterian churches in Baja California. Today, an ambitious Baja presbytery oversees 19 thriving Presbyterian missions and churches from Tijuana to San José del Cabo, and a Presbyterian seminary in Mexicali prepares and sends graduates to lead new missions. Six more missions are due to join the Baja presbytery in 2012.

Increasingly, Southern California Presbyterian churches are generously responding to the needs of Mexican Presbyterian pioneers striving to achieve their faithful vision. We invite you and your congregation to join our partnership and share the warm and friendly fellowship of Mexican Presbyterian families south of the border.
